Oxford County resident charged with impaired

Brant County OPP have charged a 19-year-old resident of Oxford County with impaired driving following a single-vehicle collision early Thursday.

Officers were sent to the scene of a collision on King Edward Street in Paris at about 1:51 am One person was arrested and taken to the Norfolk OPP detachment for a breath test.

The accused has been charged with impaired driving and driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his blood. The legal limit for motorists in Ontario is 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood.

The suspect was released from custody and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on a future date.
