Officials with a Strathroy golf club are thanking the public for their support after a fire and explosions ripped through a maintenance shed Tuesday afternoon.
Caradoc Sands Golf Club wrote in a social-media post that their equipment and maintenance shed had been razed by a fire, destroying the building and everything inside.
The golf club said the flames triggered some explosions, but no one was injured.
“We thank everyone for there support and cooperation. Our business will suffer some disruption over the next while so please work with us and be patient while we deal with this,” reads the message on the Caradoc Sands Facebook post.
Strathroy-Caradoc firefighters responded to the golf course in the southeast end of Strathroy Tuesday afternoon, using an aerial apparatus to knock down the flames.
