Just over 2.5 weeks have passed since the strong earthquakes hit Turkey and Syria. On Friday evening, Reuters reports that the death toll has risen.
Over 50,000 people have lost their lives, Turkish authorities confirm.
At least 44,000 people are said to have died in Turkey, and 6,000 in Syria. The death toll is feared to be significantly higher.
