During Saturday, 915 people came to Kent in small boats. Among them were women and children, according to the sea rescue. On Monday, 1,295 migrants arrived by boat across the Channel, the largest number so far.
Just over four months ago, Home Affairs Minister Priti Patel unveiled plans to send migrants to Rwanda, with the aim of discouraging cross-channel travel. However, the first flight to Rwanda had to be canceled in June after organizations questioned the legality of the procedure.
