Over 2 million players play Street Fighter 6, but so far none have achieved the rarest success

Street Fighter 6 can look forward to a successful release month with 2 million players, but a special achievement nobody has yet.

Capcom released Street Fighter 6 on June 2nd, 2023 and added the latest offshoot to the popular game series. Almost 1.5 months after its release, the fighting game has already sold over 2 million units and knows how to inspire its fans.

While Street Fighter scores a strong 92 on the Metacritic review platform for both PS5 and PC versions, 89% of all Steam reviews of the popular title are positive.

Players praise the fact that, for once, Street Fighter 6 was released in 2023 and write statements like:

  • “Street Fighter 6 sets the standard for modern brawlers (via Steam).”
  • “The best beat ’em up ever (via Steam).”
  • “Capcom outperforms itself (via Steam).”
  • Street Fighter 6 shows what tricks a 30-year-old character brings with him

But despite the enthusiasm for the latest part of the “Street Fighter” series and the successful release, no player has managed to get a special achievement.

2 million players but no one has the platinum trophy

What is this success? A good 1.5 months after the release, none of the 2 million “Street Fighter” players has collected the platinum trophy on PlayStation or achieved all achievements on Steam and Xbox – and that will not change any time soon, as a look at the Battle Hub calendar reveals (via streetfighter.com)

The problem lies with 2 challenges that require participation in online tournaments with other players. These tournaments are currently somewhat neglected by Capcom.

The two challenges are called Steely Determination and Dominating Like a Ninja.

  • Steel Resolve: The determination to step into the ring and fight turns mind and brawn into hardened steel! Take part in five tournaments and see for yourself!
  • Reach for the Stars: A ninja can jump stairs in a single leap, but no step is skipped during training. Win ten tournaments. It won’t be easy, but you can do it!
  • Steel Resolve has been completed by 0.0% of all PlayStation players. Stargazing is said to be 0.07% (via psnprofiles.com). On Steam, both achievements were earned by 0% of players.

Both trophies are needed to get hold of the platinum trophy, which is also owned by 0.0% of players so far.

By the way, with Mortal Kombat 1 one of the biggest competitors of Street Fighter should get a new offshoot:
