Over 12,000 footballers at the Dalecarlia Cup – in the summer heat

648 teams with a total of around 12,600 children and young people from different parts of Sweden and Norway are participating in this year’s edition. During the weekend, more than 2,000 matches will be played.

– The Dalecarlia Cup is, as we have 100 more teams this year, bigger than ever, says Kristoffer Lindberg, who is in charge of the competition.

At the same time, the organizers expect up to 60,000 visitors during the tournament.

– There can be a bit of chaos in between, when so many children, young people, coaches, judges and parents are in the same place at the same time, but we have control and everything goes very well, says Kristoffer Lindberg.
