To save the species from extinction, koalas are therefore kept in parks all over the world and bred there. That is also one of the reasons why Ouwehands is now bringing the marsupials to Rhenen. The zoo’s mission is to mainly have animals in the park that are part of the European breeding program for the conservation of endangered species.
