Output in Omicron research It blocks the cure spreading faster

In a new research on the coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic, Japanese scientists made new detections about BA.2, known as the sub-variant of the Omicron variant. It has been suggested that the BA.2 mutation spreads faster than other types of mutations and can cause serious diseases when transmitted.

In the news on NTV, it was stated that the subspecies BA.2 mutation can spread faster than other mutations and can also cause more serious diseases.

CAN ESCAPE VACCINE

It was reported that the new variant, which was announced to be able to neutralize the vehicles used in the fight against coronavirus, was examined in detail with new laboratory experiments in Japan.

In the research, which emphasized that BA.2, like Omicron, largely escaped the immunity created by vaccines, it was underlined that the booster coronavirus vaccine dose prevented the disease up to 74 percent.

DRUG RESISTANT

The subvariant was also reported to be resistant to some treatments, including sotrovimab, the monoclonal antibody currently used against Omicron.

STRATEGY IN AT LEAST 10 COUNTRIES

Studies on BA.2 reported that the sub-variant is approximately 30 to 50 percent more infectious than Omicron and has been detected in 74 countries.

While the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that about 4 percent of Americans with Covid-19 currently have infections caused by BA.2, it has been emphasized that it has become dominant in at least 10 countries.
