At the Maarsseveense Plassen, one of the largest outdoor swimming locations in our province, things are actually going quite well. “We have had 60,000 visitors so far, especially the month of June was good,” says an employee. But that does not mean that the lake has reached the 100,000 visitors who came to swim there last year. However, that is no reason to be gloomy. “We’ll see. If it is 30 degrees a few times, you will get a lot of people in again. In June we sometimes had 13,000 in a weekend. Then it can go quickly.”
