The accommodation is open
The accommodation where both staff and users have become ill is accommodation within the social services in Skövde municipality. Infection control in the region has found no reason to close the accommodation.
– We have received a reassuring message from the infection control. We do not take direct action but accommodation is open as usual.
TB is an unusual disease in Sweden that annually affects 60 people in Västra Götaland.
– Accurate infection tracking is always done, it is routine in a general dangerous disease, says infection control doctor Leif Dotevall who emphasizes that it is a treatable disease.
