A COVID-19 outbreak in the complex continuing care unit at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance earlier this month has been declared over by public health officials.
In a release Thursday, the hospital thanked Chatham-Kent public health for its “guidance and support during this outbreak, and the hospital’s staff and physicians for their continued commitment to providing safe, high-quality care under these difficult circumstances.”
Infection prevention and control measures will remain in place across the organization while officials will continue to monitor the impact of the pandemic on its operations.
The health alliance website contains further details on visiting restrictions. Questions or concerns about these restrictions can be directed to the primary nurse and/or patient relations.
