Groeneveld Castle
Kasteel Groeneveld organises temporary exhibitions where the subject always relates to the themes of Staatsbosbeheer: nature, experience and use. In the attic of the castle a gnome house can be visited.
Royal Waiting Room
Baarn got a station in 1874, a royal waiting room was established here for the nearby Soestdijk Palace. A tour of the waiting room is possible and takes about 45 minutes.
Soestdijk Palace
The estate and palace are not open regularly in preparation for the restoration. However, various activities and events are organised throughout the year so that the estate can still be visited.
In August, the Food Truck Festival Hoppaaa takes place here, with food trucks, live music, drinks platters, music bingo and face painting for children.
Lumberjacks Festival Lage Vuursche
Chainsaws, tree stumps and flying wood chips, the Lumberjacks’ Festival is a big party in Lage Vuursche every year. A permanent part is the Dutch Sculpture Sawing Championship.
This year it is the 35th edition on August 17 and 18.
