– The earth is still shaking.

This was said by Israeli President Isaac Herzog when he gave a speech before the anniversary of the Hamas attack.

In the attack last year, terrorist-branded Hamas killed more than 1,100 people. About 250 people were taken hostage. Today, there are around a hundred people who have neither been released nor have been found dead.

Isaac Herzog said in the speech, which was addressed to Jews around the world, that Israel’s wounds still cannot fully heal.

– Because hostages are still tortured, executed and die in captivity, he said, according to the Jerusalem Post.

Herzog pointed to the resilience of the Israeli people and emphasized the importance of standing united against anti-Semitism worldwide.

He addressed the lasting impact that the terrorist attacks have on Israeli society.

– It is everywhere in our country.
