Swedish boxing’s hottest, Otto Wallin, has been given a great chance. On December 23, he steps into the ring against none other than Anthony Joshua.
But in terms of interest, he faces stiff competition – against the very night of the show.
– Of course I hope that people in Sweden can see. Hope Bingolotto can maybe take a break then, when my match is. We’ll see, laughs Wallin.
He continues:
– It can be a bit of a shame that it is at Christmas because it can be difficult for many to get away from their families and come and check. But I already know now that there will be a few who go, family and friends. It feels fun.
“I can go in and shock everyone”
The match is held quite shortly after Wallin’s last match. The victory match against Murat Gassiev at the end of September.
– I have a pretty good grasp of Joshua. I’m a good boxer, I’m a smart boxer. It’s something I’ll take advantage of. Then I would say that I have a psychological advantage, I just had a good match and have momentum.
Joshua, for his part, lost his last fight last year against Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.
– I think he is quite vulnerable now mentally, he is not where he would like to be. I don’t have a lot of pressure on me. I can go in and shock everyone. If I beat Joshua, then the world is open to me. There is an incredible amount to gain from this.
