Otto Virtanen overcame his difficult moments in the 1st qualifying round of the US Open and advanced to the next round on Monday.
Otto Virtanen (ATP-125) defeated the British (ATP-287) in the first qualifying round of the tennis US Open Liam Broady set 7–5, 7–6(9-7).
The Finn had a 1–4 loss in the opening set and a 2–5 loss in the second, but won in both sets.
In the second qualifying round, there will also be a British player Paul Jubb (ATP-193), who beat his compatriot on Monday of Jacob Fearnley with numbers 6–1, 7–6.
Reaches the main series of the US Open with three wins. Last year, Virtanen cleared the qualifiers and played in the main series of the Grand Slam for the first time in his career in New York.
