Michel Toesca is a filmmaker who has been filming for years in the Roya valley, in the south of France, on the Italian border. The Roya valley is the arrival point for hundreds of migrants from Africa, among others. There, a farmer, Cédric Herrou and his partner Marion Gachet welcome them to their farm. A path strewn with administrative and legal pitfalls. Michel Toesca made his first film, Free, presented in 2018 at the Cannes Film Festival. Today, he is making a series of them, Otherwiseadventures of a rebellious community where migrants and precarious people are active, in the Nice hinterland.
