It’s official ! & Other Stories is releasing its latest fall fashion collaboration, and not with just anyone. The brand with chic and affordable pieces has chosen to partner with AWAKE Fashion, this ultra-stylish London fashion label, for a unique capsule collection. In reality, the two brands were made to meet and share the same desire to convey stories through their creations.
The founder of AWAKE Mode, Natalia Alaverdian, is inspired by art and cinema to design original and avant-garde pieces. For her, working with & Other Stories was the perfect opportunity to celebrate what the two labels have in common. “There’s this sense of joy, love, inclusiveness and warmth in their brand ethos that we really share. It’s not just about dressing women, it’s also about creating a comfortable atmosphere , friendly and warm”, she confides about & Other Stories. The result of this alchemy is a chic and unstructured collection, which takes up the codes of office clothes with a modern and eccentric touch. Among the 15 pieces of the capsule, we find a checkered set with a reworked cut in superposition, a cut-out skirt, asymmetrical culottes, but also clothes inspired by Bulgarian traditions, like a red jumpsuit with fringes or a long fur coat. Launched by Natalia Alaverdian in 2012 in London, the AWAKE Mode brand stands for “All Wonderful Adventures Kindle Enthusiasm”, which means “All wonderful adventures arouse enthusiasm”. This mantra reflects the designer’s personal and distinct approach. She invents a versatile wardrobe, recognizable among all, with unexpected details. The adventures designated by the brand name refer to intercultural and historical references drawn from art and cinema.
