Othello, one of Shakespeare’s great tragedies, at the Odéon theater

Square picture

This play seems written today as if the world had not moved since the 17th century. Racism, feminicide and the struggle for power within a patriarchal society are at the heart of this tragedy. Othello is this Moor figure of the foreigner interpreted by the Senegalese actor Adama Diop in a staging by Jean-François Sivadier.
