Pádraic (Farrell) and Colm (Gleeson) live on the fictional Irish island of Inisherin in 1922 and have been friends for as long as they can remember. But one fine day Colm terminates his friend’s friendship out of the blue. He no longer understands the world. He uses all the strength of his strong heart and rather mediocre mind to win Colm back.

Banshees of Inisherin is from master director Martin McDonagh and brings back the most iconic duo in his filmography, Farrell and Gleeson. After all, the two acting legends got to see each other in the cult film Bruges… and die? always in my hair.
But even by their standards, they’re both in incredible peak form in McDonagh’s new film. So it’s no wonder that Banshees has been popular since its premiere was showered with prizes and nominations. The drama is nominated for nine Oscars and has also won three Golden Globes and four BAFTAs. If you love films, you can’t avoid the work at Disney+.
