OS GOLD! Sweden wins the hockey tournament in the Youth Olympics – keeps a clean sheet in the final and celebrates wildly

Sweden has won gold in the Youth Olympics.
The blue-yellow hockey girls blanked Japan in the final with 4-0.
What a fantastic achievement and big congratulations!

The blue-yellow youth national team had made it all the way to the finals during the hockey tournament of the Youth Olympics in Gangwon, South Korea. Japan was waiting there in the fight for the Olympic gold, for the girls born in 2008.

The hero in goal

Then the 15-year-old goalkeeper played big Tilde Wyckman completely. She again nailed it completely between the posts and was decisive when Sweden was able to win 4-0 and salvage a wonderful Olympic gold.

Wyckman has excelled in the Swedish goal throughout the tournament, only conceding a single goal. Forward it was Tilde Grillfors who led the way and opened the scoring with his important 1-0 goal.

Big golden jubilee

Then expanded Ebba Westerlind, Nellie Noren and Matilda Österman to the clear victory figures 4-0. At the final whistle, a huge cheer erupted on the ice and the Swedish players formed a classic pile of jubilant bodies.

This is Sweden’s third hockey gold in the Youth Olympics and no other country has succeeded in this before.
