Orrick the second edition of the Finance Law Academy is

(Tiper Stock Exchange) – orricks inaugurates the second edition of the Finance Law AcademyThe course university specialization course in banking and financial law aimed at young professionals with at least two years of work experience in banks, financial institutions and large corporates, who have obtained a degree in law or economics.

The educational initiative, coordinated by Patrician MessinaEuropean Senior Partner of Orrick, and Diego Rossano, Full Professor of Economic Law at the University of Naples “Parthenope”, was developed in collaboration with CELF (Center of European Law and Finance study center of the Orrick Finance Team ), the San Raffaele University of Rome and with the media partnership of Legalcommunity and Financecommunity.

With the purpose of value and contribute to the growth of young and deserving talentsfor the second edition of the course, which will begin on 3 February and end on 24 November 2023, a class was selected with representatives of the most relevant corporate, large corporate and Italian and international banks (including, for example, Banca d’ Italia, Cassa depositi e prestiti, Intesa Sanpaolo, Generali, TIM, Snam, Angelini Pharma, Iccrea Banca, Crèdit Agricole, Gruppo Finanziaria Internazionale, Bper Banca, DoValue, Intrum and Cerved Group).

In the detailThe path didactic will be articulated through a cycle of videoconferencing lessons, which include the regulation of banking activity and the management of banking crises, as well as the national and European regulation of securitisations, passing through the in-depth study of the legislation on investment services and the analysis of some of the most widespread contracts in the sector banking and structured finance. The path will also be accompanied by a series of streaming seminars on the practical profiles of banking and financial operations.

“The deepening of banking and financial legislation will allow the young talents who will have access to the initiative to acquire the professional competence necessary to deal with the main technical problems connected with the application of the discipline” he says Patrician Messina, Orrick’s European Senior Partner. Fully funded through scholarships of the promoters of the initiative, the university specialization course will again this year see the participation of University Professors from leading Italian and international universities and Lawyers from the Finance, Corporate and Regulatory & Fintech team of Orrick.
