Orivesi Ponnistus and Hämeenlinna Volleyball Club will face each other in the semi-finals of the Volleyball Championship. On Monday, the teams faced in the final regular season match and OrPo took the five-round battle to their name.
The Orivesi Effort knocked out the Hämeenlinna Volleyball Club’s 3–2 (25–19, 21–25, 25–19, 21–25, 15–9) regular season in the last regular season match of the Volleyball Championship League. The match did not matter in the league table, as Hämeenlinna had already secured the fourth place and OrPo the fifth.
However, the teams sought starting points for future playoffs as OrPo and the Volleyball Club face each other in the quarterfinals. The home team was more effective in the attacks, took advantage of the mistakes of the people of Hämeenlinna and turned the match for themselves in the fifth round.
The power player of OrPo was once again Ariana Pirv, who finished the match 24 / + 12 points. Pirv has been one of the most effective points in the league this season. Annukka Paloniemi finished powers 16 / + 10 and Liisa Rinta-Tassi 10 / + 7. The power player of the people of Hämeenlinna was Yasmine Madsen (15 + 10). He received good support From Netta Hyttinen (13 / + 3) and From Vera Klimovich (13 / + 12).
In the regular season, the most points were knocked out this season by LP Viestin Iina Andrikopoulou, who also made the most points per match. Ariana Pirv was second in the statistics. Andrikopoulou also took the first place in the attack points and Pirv the second place. The number of attack percentages were OrPon Netta Rekola and second LP Kangasalan Roosa Laakkonen.

The first match of the semi-finals of the women’s championship league will be played on Thursday, March 17 between LP-Vampula and LP Viesti, the other matches will be played on Friday, March 18.
