Örebro: Police holding press conference

On Sunday, police hold a press conference on the shooting at Campus Risbergska in Örebro.

– It has been a heavy week, a week of grief, but also a week of determination, says Henrik Dahlström, commander -in -chief during the press conference.

He says he thoughts go to all victims and those who have lost their relatives, and states that they continue to work with “full force” to map the subject and the entire course of events.

– I am convinced that our actions have affected the course of events and interrupted the deadly violence, he says.

“Very challenging task”

Dahlström says that the effort has been complex, and that several different abilities have been used within the police and received support from the entire nation.

– The school in question is very large. 17,000 square meters were searched and the police had a very challenging task.

Seven women and three men were killed in the shooting. Even the suspected perpetrator, who according to TV4 News’s information is Rickard Andersson, 35, is dead.

During the week, intensive identification work has been underway, Dahlström announces.

-The 35-year-old man who existed among the victims is also the person we suspected of the act.

Still investigating the motif image

The police investigation work is still in full swing, according to Dahlström. Among other things, you work with crime scene investigation, technical investigations, testimony and digital track searches. They have also worked with security -creating efforts in Örebro.

The police are still investigating the motive picture.

– I do not intend to speculate on any motif images, but note that we are working to see if there is any at all, says Dahlström.

He also states that you have a “fairly good picture” of the course of events during the shooting.

The police know how many shots were fired by the shooter, but by reference to preliminary investigation confidentiality, Dahlström cannot reveal the number.

– We will not be in this investigation. We will clarify what has happened and why. We will do this together and do this for the whole country, he says.
