SMHI has issued an orange warning for snowfall in combination with wind in parts of the interior, in Gällivare and Kiruna municipalities, in northern Norrbotten County, among others. The authority warns that it could create problems for car and train traffic.
According to the forecast, the snow will start falling during Tuesday morning and until Wednesday afternoon, 10-20 centimeters of fresh snow is expected in combination with a fresh north-easterly wind.
“It is uncertain how much of the snow will initially melt away, but despite that, large amounts of snow are expected to settle,” writes SMHI.
