Orange has decided to give its subscribers a little gift! For any subscription to a fiber offer, it is possible to obtain a free mobile plan. But be careful, only for a limited time…
For more than a year, mobile operators and internet service providers (ISPs) have been increasing the prices of their subscriptions. Just last month, Orange sent an email to its customers discreetly mentioning the introduction of new fees, in small print. But we are never safe from a pleasant surprise, the proof is! Not long ago, the historic operator had improved the speed on all of its Livebox subscriptions, without affecting the prices, and had offered a small upgrade some of its TV decoders (see our article). As the Christmas holidays approach, Orange is offering a small free mobile plan for any subscription to a Fiber offer, even if it is only for the first six months.
Free Orange mobile plan: a not-so-interesting gift after all
This is the 2h 100MB package – it may or may not be blocked. It includes two hours of calls in France and from the Europe, DOM, Switzerland/Andorra zones to these zones and France. It also includes unlimited SMS/MMS in France and from the Europe, DOM, Switzerland/Andorra zones to these zones and France, as well as 100 MB usable in mainland France and in the Europe, DOM, Switzerland/Andorra zones.
This mobile subscription is free for the first six months, before increasing to 5.99 euros per month – normally the promotional period is 2.99 euros per month, saving a total of 17.94 euros. It’s not huge, but it’s still a big deal. More good news: an additional 1 GB option is available on request. Simply activate it from “Recommended options” during the subscription stage.
To take advantage of this promotion, you must go to the “Internet + mobile” section, then to “Build the pack”. It is only here that the 0 euro package will then be offered. Please note, this means that you must also subscribe to a Livebox offer from Orange. And given the prices, I’m not sure it’s the best way to save money… Ultimately, the Free 2 euros package with 3 GB Booster is more interesting, since it only costs 2.99 euros per month, and this without limited duration. And that, without mentioning the numerous plans with unlimited calls for less than 5 euros that can be found today with many virtual operators. In short, Orange’s little gift is not as generous as it seems at first glance…
