One of the major phone manufacturers based in China OPPOis increasing its high-tech production capacity in Turkey, where it has become active again.
The company’s statement on this matter included the following: “OPPO, the world’s 4th largest smartphone manufacturer with over 100 million shipments in 2023 and operating in more than 60 countries, continues to work to achieve its goals in Turkey within the scope of a strategic partnership with AGM A.Ş., a subsidiary of Mıstaçoğlu Holding. OPPO, which started its operations in Turkey in 2019, made a long-term commitment to the economy and growth of the region by deciding to establish a factory in Istanbul in December 2020. It started working to increase its production capacity and employment opportunities by putting the factory in Tuzla, Istanbul into operation in May 2021.” Stating that they reached 95.8 percent brand awareness within 3 years after starting their operations in Turkey, OPPO Türkiye Corporate Communications Manager Murat Karakoç, He said the following about the collaboration: “With our strategic partnership with AGM and our ‘In Turkey for Turkey’ strategy, we aim to develop high-tech manufacturing capabilities in Turkey and increase employment opportunities. We are determined to become one of the top three smartphone brands in the country in the next three years.”

Underlining that with the partnership made with the company, they became the largest domestic investor in the GSM sector, Mıstaçoğlu Holding CEO Yücel Kubanç, “Currently, with our installed capacity, we have an annual production capacity of 4.5 million units in our factory. We aim to employ more than 1,000 people by the end of the year in the factory, where we work with a special team of OPPO engineers and technical experts.” he said. “In the factory, where production lines are established according to OPPO standards to ensure optimum efficiency and quality, all stages from material acceptance to production conditions are inspected by OPPO experts before a new OPPO model is produced. The factory, which was built with Completely Knocked Down Production (CKD) certification, produces OPPO’s Reno and A series products.
“Advanced production execution system, Surface Mount Technology (SMT) lines using high-speed pick and place machines, advanced solder paste inspection to inspect every joint, Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) systems and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) ensure control and consistency. With an average production capacity of 20-50 phones per hour, the facility has a yield rate of 98.5 percent, an initial failure rate of less than 0.23 percent and a defective on arrival (DOA) rate of less than 165 parts per million.”
