With its Find N, Oppo challenges Samsung in the foldable smartphone market. In addition to a more aggressive price, the Chinese intends to stand out thanks to a more square foldable screen with a less visible fold, and a more classic folded format.

Oppo has just joined the very closed club of manufacturers offering a foldable smartphone. During his conference Inno Day 2021, CEO Tony Chen unveiled the new flagship called “Find N” which will notably compete with the Galaxy z fold3 of Samsung.
The main screen measures 7.1 inches (1.792 × 1.920 pixels) with variable refresh rate up to 120 hertz. It is almost square (8.4: 9) with a hole in punch for the selfie camera. Oppo put a lot of emphasis on the hinge which is made up of 136 pieces and leaves no space when folded, as well as the foldable glass covering that is 0.03 millimeters thick. According to the firm, the central fold is 80% less visible compared to the competition.

A secondary screen in 18: 9 format
The Find N also has a second 5.49-inch (1.972 × 988 pixels) screen with a very classic 18: 9 aspect ratio. The smartphone naturally integrates the processor the most powerful currently, namely the Snapdragon 888, supported by 8 to 12 gigabytes of RAM and 256 to 512 gigabytes of storage. It has a triple photo module, with a sensor main 50-megapixel, an ultra-wide-angle 16-megapixel and a telephoto 13-megapixel. Side autonomy, it has a 4,500 mAh battery with the fast charge from 33 watts, 15-watt wireless charging and finally 10-watt reverse charging.
Oppo announced its Find N from 7,699 yuan in China, or just under 1,100 euros. Pre-orders in the country are now open, with an official launch on December 23. The firm has not yet announced a launch date or any international prices.
