The individual was taken by air ambulance to hospital where they died of their injuries the following day.

Police say a postmortem will be conducted at the Center of Forensic Sciences at a later date.

Residents in the area will notice an increased presence in the area as the investigation continues involving OPP Forensic Identification Services and the West Region Emergency Response Team.

The Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service are also involved in the investigation.

All of these agencies were enlisted last month to investigate a similar incident on Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation.

On April 12, a body was discovered just after 5 pm on 2nd Line near Chiefswood Road.

Six Nations Police later said the victim was a 32-year-old Ohsweken resident but declined to release the individual’s name to maintain the integrity of the investigation.

Anyone with information, dashcam or surveillance video from the area is asked to call Six Nations Police at 519-445-2811 or the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
