Opening of a solidarity restaurant in Evry Courcouronnes to fight against

The consequences of the war in Ukraine and the economic crisis have put the poorest populations in very great precariousness. To help them, the Friends of the Poor association has opened a restaurant and a Solidarity Table, where those in need can come and eat or stock up on free food products. Report with beneficiaries and volunteers of this association based in Essonne, in the suburbs of Paris.

Customers, especially students and retirees, can eat there at reduced prices. Since early November, homeless people can eat there for free, until next March. Unsold items are then redistributed. All these solidarity actions are possible thanks to the local populations and the partners of the friends of the poorbut also thanks to the commitment of the association’s volunteers who thus participate in the fight against the high cost of living, in one of the poorest municipalities in Île-de-France.

The restaurant is open Monday to Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 2, place de la Commune in Évry-Courcouronnes.
