The controversies surrounding this World Cup in Qatar did not put everyone off. Also, the organizers of the 2022 World Cup welcomed the arrival for this opening ceremony of a rain of artists, who will also perform during daily concerts. A total of 60 international singers have been confirmed to ensure the show… and a positive image for the much-maligned event.

The Gulf State thus announces that Robbie Williams (already present at the opening ceremony of the world in Russia in 2018), the Black Eyed Peas, David Guetta, Maroon 5, J Balvin, Post Malone and Enrique Iglesias have confirmed their presence. To this list are therefore added many other artists, serving a “festival unforgettable combining football and entertainment”, announced Nasser Al Khater, the General Manager of the 2022 World Cup one month before its kick-off.

So who are these international artists expected in Doha? For now, no name has been confirmed by the organizers of the event. However, a few names are circulating, including that of Shakira, who is said to be in negotiations for the closing ceremony of the World Cup in Qatar, but also of the K-pop phenomenon group (yet separated) BTS. Finally, contrary to rumours, the British singer Dua Lipa has clearly explained on social networks that she will not participate in the World Cup in Qatar.
