Opening Bell out of tune for Wall Street

New York Stock Exchange well set at the turning point

(Finance) – Weak start for the Wall Street stock exchange which reopens its doors today after the long holiday weekend. This week too, investors’ attention is catalyzed by American data and the company’s next moves Federal Reserve.

In particular, we look at PCE deflatorconsidered the litmus test for interpreting the future moves of the American central bank in the matter of monetary policy. Expectations are for an interest rate cut in September, after the slight slowdown in April ininflationbut concerns about strong economic growth and the stability of the job market they took some strength away from the expectations.

Wall Street moves fractionally lower, with the Dow Jones which is leaving 0.28% on the floor, while, on the contrary, theS&P-500, which continues the day at 5,312 points. On the levels of the day before the Nasdaq 100 (+0.16%); just above parityS&P 100 (+0.33%).
