(Finance) – The optical fiber of Open Fiber she also arrived at Chiusi della Verna in the province of Arezzo e Cetona in the province of Siena. Families, professionals and businesses can already access the best connectivity available on the market, starting today with an extra opportunity: win a gift voucher thanks to the initiative “Open Fiber the choice that rewards you”. All residential users in these municipalities who activate an ultra-fast connection through Open Fiber’s partner operators by October 31st, in fact – Open Fiber says in a note – will be able to receive a 100 euro voucher to be converted into an Amazon Gift Voucher, a MediaWorld gift card or a fuel voucher. The deadline for requesting prizes is December 31st.
The ultra-fast network available today in Chiusi della Verna and Cetona reaches 3 thousand real estate units through FTTH technology (Fiber-to-the-home, the optical fiber extended right up to the inside of buildings), the only solution capable of guaranteeing connection speeds of 10 Gigabits per second. This is a strategic investment for the digitalisation of the territory which does not burden the budget of the Municipalities involved. The technological infrastructure, in fact, was financed with regional and state funds as part of the Ultra Wide Band Plan (BUL) handled by Infratel Italia, a company of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, with the coordination of Tuscany region. The new network is and will remain public property.
“Thanks to the FTTH network and the Open Fiber cabling project, these Tuscan municipalities are now equipped with an ultra broadband network capable of delivering ever-increasing volumes of data traffic, allowing for fast and enabling use of connections for smart working , streaming of HD content, online purchases and remote access to public administration services”, he says Claudio Cardarelli, Regional Manager of Open Fiber in Tuscany.
