Through the program, implemented in 2001, the city is committed to working with local charities and non-profit organizations involved in arts, culture, heritage, recreation, the environment, and health and human services.
The Brant Community Foundation will accept applications on behalf of the city for these funding streams:
- Operational (no travel) Grant maximum $10,000: To assist with funding to improve the wellbeing of the community and its residents by providing financial assistance to various non-profit community organizations.
- Operational – Non-recurring milestone special events.
- Capital/Seed (Grant maximum $15,000): To promote the self-sufficiency of community non-profit groups and programs by encouraging those in receipt of city grants to become self-supporting.
- New Events Stream (Grant maximum $5,000): To assist with funding to improve the wellbeing of the community and its residents by providing financial assistance to various non-profit community organizations that host events.
- Operational – Travel (Amounts vary).
