Open AI released its Sora tool that makes videos from

The long-awaited AI tool was released in the US and much of the rest of the world with paid memberships.

Open AI known from Chat GPT is opened for public use of its artificial intelligence tool that makes videos from text.

Sora was released on Monday night in the United States and a large part of the rest of the world, but the release time in EU countries and Great Britain is not yet known. The reason for this was not stated at the time of publication, but it is most obviously due to the different official regulations of the European Union.

Soran can be used with paid memberships of Open AI, which have different monthly limits on the number of generated videos. For writing prompts, there is its own storyboard tool, which can be used to determine the intensity of the elements coming into the video.

Sora was originally introduced by Open AI in February of this year. At that time, it was said to have moved to security tests, which were used to build barriers to, for example, the production of violent, sexual, or content imitating the appearance of public figures.

American technology bettor Marques Brownlee posted a 16-minute on Monday evaluation video of the tool. Brownlee, who tried Sora for a few weeks, described it as “horrifying and inspiring at the same time”.

According to Brownlee’s experiments, Open AI has successfully blocked prompts containing public figures and copyrighted characters. In addition, Brownlee notes that Sora still has challenges with creating realistic physics, often showing objects that disappear or pass through each other.

According to Open AI, the metadata of videos made with Sora should clearly indicate that they were made with that tool.
