“We deliver the vehicle to the customer as soon as he arrives. Therefore, we follow the customer closely. Since March, we’ve put a filter in our system for customers who make a double-triple purchase. We started to follow up on these customers, whether they are dealers, spotters or for investment. In multiple sales, we call and inquire about our dealers. Because we really want the vehicles to go to the retail customer. We also monitor this on a weekly basis. There is no such thing as product accumulation or agglomeration. We manage the process in a transparent and open way.”
Özocak, who also made sectoral evaluations, stated that they want to grow by 40 percent this year and said:6 percent of Opel’s total sales are made in Turkey. In terms of quantity, Turkey is Opel’s 5th largest market. In 2023, we target a 6.5 percent market share by selling 52 thousand vehicles in a total market of 800 thousand units. There is a shrinkage of around 10-12 percent in the European market. The market congestion in Europe creates opportunities for us as Turkey. Therefore, the recession in Europe motivated us and we took steps to get the units we wanted by convincing the Opel headquarters in Germany. We foresee that the market will continue at this pace for at least 3 more years.”
