Tunisian Ons Jabeur, world No.2, became Tuesday at Wimbledon the first player from the African continent to reach the semi-finals of a Grand Slam tournament since South African Amanda Coetzer in 1997, beating the Czech Marie Bouzkova (66th) 3-6, 6-1, 6-1. Jabeur (27), who was the first Arab player to reach the quarters of a Major in 2020 at the Australian Open, will face the German Tatjana Maria (103rd) for a place in the final.
