The quarterfinals were the final destination for Elinkwijk. The team from Utrecht went down in-house against first divisionist Leeuwarden, the predecessor of SC Cambuur. HVC did reach the semi-finals. Thanks in part to two hits by Henk Wery, who would later play for DOS, Feyenoord and the Dutch national team, it again defeated an Eredivisie club. Against VVV, after extra time, it became 3-2 for the team from Amersfoort. In the semi-finals, HVC lost to NAC.
