But through cheeky comments about his performance in Path of Exile 2, Asmongold has lost contact with the richest man in the world. This was the relationship between the two: In recent months it has seemed as if Asmongold and Elon Musk were on the same side of the culture war in the USA.
When in March 2024 the consulting firm Sweet Baby Inc demanded that Asmongold not appear as a character in “Dragon’s Dogma 2” because of his difficult statements, Elon Musk stood by him and wrote on his short message service X: “Sweet Baby Inc is the plague of the games industry.” They can’t do anything except cancel games.
Asmongold himself adorned himself with the idea that Elon Musk was apparently a fan of his channel, reacted to his content and followed him on X. He returned the favor and reported on Elon Musk’s successes in games like Diablo 4 and Path of Exile. Asmongold said he now wants to persuade Musk to buy Blizzard and “make Diablo 4 great again.”
Apparently there was even an exchange between the two at the end of 2024. According to direct messages leaked by Musk, there appeared to be negotiations for Asmongold to stream more on X. Musk has been wanting to establish “live streaming” here for a long time, but it hasn’t really worked yet.

Trouble in paradise: Musk apparently angry with Asmongold
Why is there a crisis between the two now?? It’s actually not Asmongold’s fault. Other YouTubers, Quin69 and Kripparian, made fun of the fact that supposedly great gamer Elon Musk, who is so great at Path of Exile 2, apparently didn’t level up and equip his overly strong character himself in a video.
In a reaction to Musk’s gameplay, the two made it clear: The billionaire has a strong character in Path of Exile, but apparently has no idea about the game.
Asmongold, who had previously reported how great Elon Musk is playing, reacted to this video, making fun of it and offering Musk that if he could prove that he was really playing Path of Exile, he would play on his platform X for 1 year.
Asmongold apparently didn’t think much of it.

This is how Musk reacted: Musk apparently didn’t find it funny at all. He published private direct messages from Asmongold to him. Musk interpreted the news that Asmongold first had to ask his video editors before he could agree to set up his own Twitter channel for live streaming to mean that Asmongold first had to ask “his bosses” what he was allowed to do and what not.
Apparently Asmongold is controlled by others and is not in control of his own actions.
In any case, Asmongold isn’t a good gamer at all, he’s just good at making stupid comments at other people (via x).
Musk also blocked him on X and then unblocked him later. In the meantime, Musk apparently also removed the streamer’s blue tick on the platform.
