Province of Utrecht – Things are not going well for the butterflies in our province. During the Garden Butterfly Count this weekend, an average of 3.9 butterflies were seen per count in Utrecht. Only in Flevoland was that number lower. There is also cause for concern nationwide: never before have nature lovers seen so few butterflies as during this year’s count.
