OnePlus finally addressed the persistent “green line” issue by offering a lifetime display guarantee for users affected by the issues. Numerous OnePlus user reported an unusual “green line” issue on older OnePlus phones with AMOLED panels and urged the company to take action.
The issue seems to be common across multiple devices, but OnePlus has OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 8TOnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9R chose to address this issue directly by offering its owners a lifetime display warranty. OnePlus 8 and screen repair costs of users who experience the “green line” problem on OnePlus 9 series phones will be covered by this warranty.

“We are aware that this issue is causing great inconvenience to affected users and we apologize for that. In line with our unwavering commitment, we encourage users to visit the nearest OnePlus service center for device diagnosis and will provide a free screen replacement for all affected devices.
On select OnePlus 8 and 9 Series devices, we also offer a coupon that will give the user a fair percentage of the device value to upgrade to a new OnePlus device. In light of the current situation, we now offer a lifetime display warranty on all affected devices. Thank you for your understanding and support.”
