One year after the terrorist act in Brussels: The friends want to honor Patrick’s memory in the sports hall in Indal

Patrick Lundström was one of the two Swedes who were murdered in the terrorist attack in Brussels a year ago. He lived in Switzerland but grew up in Indal in Sundsvall.

Now Håkan Alfredsson, together with four other friends, including Lisen Altis, wants to honor his memory by putting up a memorial plaque in the soon-to-be-completed Stige sports hall, which will be inaugurated in Indal this autumn.

In addition to reflecting Patrick and his calling in football, it also brings other messages.

Raises the importance of preventive work to curb acts of violence

– There is so much violence in the world. Everything from violence in the stands at football matches to terrorist attacks and contradictions in society. If something can be done to raise issues like this and curb any form of violence, it is positive, he says.

How do you feel about this day?

– Sadness, sadness. At the same time, you are also cursed that this kind of thing happens at all. It’s terrible in every way, worst for his loved ones of course, says Håkan Alfredsson.
