Since 1 July 2021, the police can fine anyone who plays loud and disturbing music in their vehicle. After almost a year with the new rules, it is established that more than half of all issued fines took place in the Bergslagen police region – most fines were handed out in Värmland County and Arvika tops the list.
In Arvika, the work with disturbing music is a priority issue as many municipal residents get in touch and say that they get their night’s sleep disturbed by loud music from cars driving around the city.
