The sober Cees has a few animals, but his business mainly revolves around heavy transport (he is a truck driver himself). He hardly thinks about the fall wind anymore, because ‘some things are better forgotten’. Cees is especially happy that everything looks neat again a year later. But he misses the trees. He grew up with them, because in an old photo from around 1950 the trees are already in front of the farm. “I’ve watched it all my life. And in two minutes they were gone.”
