One person was killed and four others were injured in a two-vehicle collision in the Windham area of Norfolk County on Thursday night.

The crash occurred shortly after 7 pm at the intersection of Windham East Quarter Line Road and Windham Road 9.
One person died at the scene while four others were transported to Norfolk General Hospital. Police say those people were conscious at the time.
“A passenger was ejected from one of the vehicles during the collision,” said OPP Const. Jonathan Bueckert.
Two air ambulances were dispatched to transport the injured people to hospital.
Norfolk Fire and EMS personnel also attended the scene.
The Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team and reconstruction team are involved in the investigation at the scene. The road remained closed as of late Thursday night.
“Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those affected by this tragic even,” Bueckert said.
