A 47-year-old Hagersville man is in custody following a stand-off with provincial police.

Haldimand OPP was called to investigate reports of a family dispute at a Main Street, Hagersville, residence at about 10:15 pm on Tuesday, June 11. The situation reportedly escalated to a barricaded incident, the OPP said.
The OPP West Region emergency response team and the canine unit were called in and the area was contained, police said.
Police obtained a search warrant, entered the residence and took one person into custody. The scene of the incident was cleared by OPP at about 6 am June 12.
The individual has been charged with two counts of assault and mischief – destroying or damaging property.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice in Cayuga on June 12.
