One person died and another received minor injuries following a two-vehicle collision in Haldimand County on Sunday.

Haldimand County OPP officers were dispatched to Haldimand Road 20 between Richert Road and Concession Road 4 at about 6:10 pm after receiving a report of a collision. One vehicle was reported to be engulfed in flames, police said.
The 91-year-old driver of one vehicle was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later pronounced deceased. The other driver sustained minor injuries and was also transported to hospital, police said.
Haldimand EMS, and Haldimand County fire fighters also attended the scene. Haldimand Road was closed to allow the OPP’s Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team to investigate.
