Maria Malmer Stenergard (M) welcomes the announcement of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas as early as Sunday.
– One should not think that this conflict can be resolved quickly in any way, but a ceasefire is still an important step towards working towards a two-state solution, she says in TV4’s Nyhetsmorgon.
But the foreign minister still advises people with relatives in Gaza against traveling there.
– I understand that they want it, but that it is far too early and uncertain how the situation looks. Now we primarily have to let aid workers in, she says.
