Peter Pan really knows every child. Whether a literary character or the hero of the popular Disney film Peter Pan from 1953, everyone knows or loves the story about the boy who just doesn’t want to grow up. The more recent cinema adaptation Pan should therefore have been a sure hit. But puff cake. And cast:in Rooney Mara showed great remorse for her cast after starting. Today the fantasy flop is on TV.

Fantasy on TV: Pan failed because of a boring story and too much CGI

Pan tells the story of Peter Pan (Levi Miller). In London during the Second World War, he struggles to survive in the slums and is eventually kidnapped by pirates who take him to Neverland.

The film was criticized for many aspects when it was released. The critics most often disliked the uninspired plot and the excess of CGI (via Metacritic ). In addition, the Casting white Rooney Mara as Indigenous Tiger Lilly sparked controversy. The anger of the viewers was very close to the actor:in, as quoted by Variety in an interview with the Telegraph.

The Representation of indigenous roles by non-indigenous actors has recently been increasingly questioned in public. Whether a change in the cast would have saved the film from a flop is another matter.
