One of the rarest mounts from WoW is free for a few days

The Great Battle Bear is available for free in World of Warcraft for some right now – but time is still pressing, because the offer is only available for a few weeks.

Since Dragonflight at the latest, World of Warcraft has been trying to draw attention to itself through other channels and through cooperation. Be it special Twitch drops or rewards for Amazon Prime. Exactly for the latter there is now a mount that you can easily secure.

What kind of mount is that? As the name suggests, the “Big Fighting Bear” is a large black bear with a saddle. The decorations are quite small – it’s just a classic bear, converted into a mount.

The mount’s visuals are a bit dated now, as it’s been in the game for ages and has never been reworked, but that’s exactly why some like it, because it’s one of the “classic” mounts.

You can get the big fighting bear until the end of April.

How do you get the bear? In order to claim the bear, you must be a member of Amazon Prime Gaming (a paid service) and have linked your account to the Battle.net account. If you are an Amazon Prime customer, Prime Gaming is automatically included in the offer.

You can then redeem the bear on the Prime Gaming website. You have until April 27th to do this.

Where is the mount from? Actually, the bear was part of the “Warcraft Trading Card Game” – that was a trading card game for World of Warcraft. As a special reward, there were so-called “loot cards” in some booster packs. These contained a code, which in turn could be exchanged for various prizes in World of Warcraft with an NPC in Booty Bay. The Great Battle Bear was one such reward.

Since the card game was discontinued many years ago, the bear was no longer available in this way. However, since it was tradable, it occasionally showed up on the auction house—although that became less and less common over the years.

So collectors should not miss this mount if the opportunity presents itself.
