With the over-stylized war epic 300, Zack Snyder created one of his most iconic films ever. In 2014, the sequel 300: Rise Of An Empire was released, which the director did not direct himself.

After years, there is now a new message from the fantasy action franchise: 300 is to be re-released as a series. If all goes well, Snyder will be involved again as director.

According to Variety, a new 300 series based on the Zack Snyder blockbuster is in early development. Content details are not yet known, but production is said to be Prequel and thus take place before the events of the 2006 film.

A return of the former leading actor Gerard Butler is therefore likely to be ruled out. Zack Snyder himself as director and executive producer to be involved in the 300 series. He is currently still in negotiations for this.

When will the new 300 series launch?

There is no release date for the new edition of the fantasy action spectacle yet. 2025, possibly even 2026but you shouldn’t expect a release of the planned 300 series.
